About the Event
This is a training course for those interested in achieving their Nights Away Permit.
The course will give you all the information and skills you require, but will NOT allow you to obtain your permit.
Theory - Saturday 10th September - at County HQ - where you will learn all about planning and running a camp. You will look at finances, menu planning, core skills of nights away, health and hygiene.
Overnight Practical - 0900 Saturday 24th to 1600 Sunday 25th September at Ashworth Valley Camp Site - this is where you will learn the practical skills and put into practice the learning from the theory day.
To obtain your permit you will be required to plan and run a camp at a later date, which will be assessed by one of the County Assessors.
