Wood Badge Training - Residential Course - Fri 19/07/24 till Sun 21/07/24

This series of modules with the online training, will make up the complete Wood

Badge training for anyone needing to complete the adult training programme.

This opportunity is an all in one, fast and comprehensive wood badge learning and

practical programme to ensure adults are up to date and competent Leaders.

The programme is open to all adults in GMN and a last chance to update your

development record before switching to the new adult Database and records.

This course is run over a residential weekend in July and a follow-up course in September, you need to attend all to complete this part of your training.  Bunk Beds are provided at the Headquarters, and the course will be fully catered, including any/all dietary requirements.  Drinks will be available throughout the course.

• Finish approx 16:00pm

There are 40 beds available at the HQ upstairs in rooms of 4-10 sleepers.  Or alternatively if you wish to camp in a tent there is space at the rear of the building for camping.

• Validation Session - Validation open workshop come & get validated whilst First Aid is on
• Practical Project Presentations
• 18 Practical Skills
• Developing GMN in County and Districts

Sunday 15th September

• Start 9:00am
• 09 Working in Group Teams & District Teams
• 11 Administration - including using Compass & OSM
• Building our Scout Journey
• Finish approx 15:30pm

All weekends fully catered, menu for July Weekend will be:

Friday Supper - Costco Cheese & Tomato pizzas, Pepperoni Pizzas

Saturday Breakfast - Cereal, Bacon, Sausages, Eggs, Baked Beans, Hash Browns, Mushrooms, Toast & Jam

Saturday Lunch - Various Sandwiches & Wraps with Salad

Saturday Tea - Cheese & Onion Pie or Steak Pie, Peas, Baked Beans, New Potatoes, Gravy, Cake & Ice cream

Sunday Breakfast - Cereal, Bacon, Sausages, Eggs, Baked Beans, Hash Browns, Mushrooms, Toast & Jam

Sunday Lunch - Various Sandwiches & Wraps with Salad

Biscuits, Cakes & Danish Pastries during the breaks

Unlimited Tea, Coffee, Juice offered throughout the day
