All adults in Scouting dealing with Young People are required to hold a current First Aid certificate.

The First Aid certificate must be valid at all times, please do not let this expire. This should be monitored by their line manager. A First Aid Qualification lasts three years.

Blended Model - E-learning and Practical

The blended model is the completion of a 2.5 hour e-learning session and then a 3 hour face to face practical that we are now advertising below.

The e-learning can be found by following the below link

https://hampshire-scouts.thinkific.com/courses/firstresponse

Once you have completed the e-learning, book onto the 3 hour sessions advertised below and forward your proof of e-learning to courseadministrator@gmnscouts.org.uk

Please be aware Greater Manchester North County are not running any training events via Zoom, your practical element of the training will need to be covered by a 3 hour course below after you have completed the e-learning.

6-hour face to face course - theory and practical

As a County we also have available a 6 hour training course which includes both theory and practical sessions, covering all the elements required by The Scouts.  We are have only planned on running 2 6 hour courses in 2025.

Details of both 3 and 6 hour courses can be found below.  These sessions are being run at both County HQ, Middleton and PRaWS District HQ, Whitefield, so choose the best option for you.
