The Fundamentals of Scouting (05)

​

This module supports the learner to consider The Fundamentals and the Religious Policy and their relationship with the programme delivered to young people. The module explores the guiding principles of Scouting; the core values which The Scout Association stands for and believes in.

​

This module is e-learning, however will still need validating by your Training Advisor.  Please forward your certificate of completion to courseadministrator@gmnscouts.org.uk and I can update to say you have completed the e-learning

Administration (11)

This module aims to provide you with information, and an opportunity to consider and learn about best practice when managing the administrative tasks required in your role.

Delivering a quality programme (12A)

 

This module aims to provide leaders, managers and supporters with information about how we deliver quality Scouting to young people, and how we ensure it meets their needs.

Covers ways in which an adult volunteering with a section can assist their line manager and others to plan for and contribute to the growth of their section and/or group.

Supporting Young People (14)  (If you are completing the face to face training after April 2022 this module is now included on day 2)

This module is aimed at all section leaders and other adults supporting young people in Scouting. It aims to enable adult volunteers working with young people, to understand and meet their needs.

 

This module is completed as a workbook.  Once you have completed the workbook, please make an appointment with your training advisor to get this module validated.

Promoting Positive Behaviour (15)  (If you are completing the face to face training after April 2022 this module is now included on day 2)

This module is aimed at all section leaders and other adults supporting young people in Scouting. It aims to enable adult volunteers to proactively promote positive behaviour and appropriately manage challenging behaviour in their section.

 

This module is completed as a workbook.  Once you have completed the workbook, please make an appointment with your training advisor to get this module validated.
